It's love that resists

by Ash   Nov 1, 2008

Silent tears falling from the sky,
With each drop so soft it let all feelings fly.
And yet dismissal of hope but fade without bliss,
Through every moment of the day it's you I dearly miss.

Never once thought you'd be in my heart and mind,
That every time I think of you a smile I would find.
There exists a truth that cannot be denied,
From you and your memories I cannot try hide.

And what days be had when it remains so empty and grey,
Though everyone is around, I myself with them cannot stay.
For my mind continually wanders onto thoughts of you,
You fill my life up with the greatest of love I never once knew.

And if I were to lose you I'd not know what to do,
For every day of my life you are this rare gem that shines with such luster like fresh dew.
But how can I ever tell you what you mean to me?
For in your life and heart is another person that you see.

I'll never be the one to put a smile on your face,
Or be there for you when life shuns you away as a disgrace.
I'll never have the chance to tell you how I feel,
That if life could be something only happiness and love would be real.

But no matter what happens or if we walk our separate ways,
You will always be a part of me that echos through endless days.
For you know love, honor, respect and peace,
You're like an angel so addictive like a joyous disease.

You are what makes me believe that life isn't what you choose,
That you can make it through and not even lose.
You are inspiration divine that never falls short of praise.
As certain as each night turns to new days.

Numbered be one's days yet if given another chance I'd so graciously take,
But destiny will always have it's last say at our fate.
Tomorrow is an illusion for today is all that exists,
I love you alot but "It's love that resists".
