My Alabi Consists of Fever Dreams

by Curing the Comon Cliche   Nov 1, 2008

Can you feel the mist on your fingertips?
Can you feel the fog in the air?
Clouds the way you see yourself
Clouds the way they see you
Can you even see a foot?
In any one direction
Can you see the blood on your hands?
Can you see your cliched guilt?
Can you hear me calling?
Can you hear her crying?
Through the layers of this fog
The ever more pain of dying
Can you even feel yourself?
Can't you hear your heart beat now?
Can't you scream?
Can't you run?
Can't you fall?

Drum roll and the loudest note
Break the silence, break the sky
Answer the questions reader
Then ask yourself why.
