Graduation Night

by Emily   Nov 2, 2008

Nearing the end
Of our childhood years
Looking ahead
To facing new fears
Trying to hold back
All of those tears
But dont worry
No need to dry your eyes
Because Darling,
We will all cry tonight
Nothing to hold back
Do not be ashamed
Were all gonna miss
The same childhood games
And as we sit around the fire
And think so passively
About our evolving lives
Why are we going separate ways?
It seems to cruel
To abandon friendships
Will we keep in touch?
Will we make it somehow?
After tonight
We get to put to the test
Its now or never
Can we be the best?
I dont wanna think about it
So hold me tight
To make this night
Seem endless in time
The world looks so scary
I cant do it alone
Baby please dont leave me
No, no, I need you all!
I thought friendships were forever
Without you, Ill surely fall
Now the dawn is breaking
The inevitable is here
Friend, please stop crying
Dont worry about those fears
We are gonna stick together
Though the thick and thin
If we keep in touch
Theres no way we can not win
Our bonds are too strong
Our history, too long
Lets not think of tonight
As the end of what was
Its just another beginning
Of what will be
