Why I cry

by huddy   Nov 6, 2008

I don't cry if I'm the last in a race
Neither do I cry if I've lost the trophies and the praise
But I cry to see a brother lose,
Out of hard work and still not make it through
I cry cuz I feel their pain too!

I don't cry if I starve for lack of bread
Neither do I cry if I lack drink or bed to lay my head
But I cry to see orphans starve to death
I cry to see the blind trip and wail in pain
I cry to see the widow cry and still have no one to help I cry to the last of my breath

I don't cry if I've been betrayed
Nor if I've been detained
But I cry to see the poor mistreated
I cry to see the law bent and leave the poor oppressed
I cry for the welfare of lost souls in slavery
Those that do not know the heritage they received upon The Calvary

I cry to see Christians live in fear
Yet all their freedom was attained in Jesus' wails and tears
This is why I cry,
To see so many bloodsheds without reason or cause
