Ignorant Man

by Tripp   Nov 6, 2008

I seek the truth scattered among lies
to open my mind I must close my eyes
Blind my body and enlighten my mind
search for the truth that no one can find

If it's inside of you then it's inside of me
why then do we live life so differently?
Is it because of our hopes, our goals, our dreams?
living our lives as if they're just as they seem?

It's self-destructive, detrimental, and wrong
how humans follow to the death this elegy of song
Flock to the herd like the sheep that they are
while you silently observe, safe from afar

This pervasive ignorance is more than I can bear
humans breathe stupidity as if it was air
they blindly accept that which is said
and think with their stereotypes, rather than their head
