Dont be sad

by Amberinaa   Nov 16, 2008

*I'm on an exchange in Germany and one of my best friends who's from Mexico left and it was so sad, i don't know when we will see each other again so this was for her.

Leaves changing color; start falling from the trees.
Her hair twirls around. It's blowing in the breeze.
Her head is filled with memories; locked up tight.
Something keeps telling her leaving isn't right.

She blinks back the tears, but she can't contain them all.
Slowly from her eyes glass crystals start to fall.
She says some goodbyes, the room floods with tears
Who would have thought, months would seem like years.

She stares out the window; She is lost in space.
Her mind starts to wander. Her thoughts start to race.
Her friendships so strong, they can never break
And with her a part of their hearts she will take.

The speakers crack and a voice starts to say
"All passengers to the gates would you please make your way."
Her vision goes fuzzy. Her mouth turns dry.
She holds her breath as she tries not to cry.

She sniffles and sobs "I don't want to say bye"
"So don't, say see you later" her friend does reply
I'll see you in the future this isn't the end
I will always be there. I will be a true friend.

So she gets on the plane and she is no longer sad
But rather she is happy for the great time she had.
