Listen Now

by ImperfectBliss   Nov 19, 2008

Is poetry enough

To describe the thoughts

Deep within my soul?

An unconscious gasp

Awakens my quiet memory,

Singing for life.

Rapture so delicate,

Piercing the skin

Of ignorant bliss.

If the wonder is gone

Once the truth becomes known

Will wonder be enough?

The light plays with her lips

Cold fire raging through her heart;

A passion for everything warm.

The sky whispers sweetly

Near the sensual window

Of spiritual ecstasy.

Are the beings of a human's mind

Completely real and physical,

Or incessant and illusory?

The teardrops of the sand

Slip quietly down the hill....

Listen now, children.
