Here I Stand

by Tara   Nov 19, 2008

Here I am
Walking down this narrow path of mine
I'm waiting for you to take my hand
Wishing that I didn't have to fall to give you a thrill
Just listen because I've fallen many times for you
What will it take to get you
Because I'm running for you
But you always seem to get away
It's like whenever I'm so close to hold on to you
You seem to get a head start
Is it because you don't want me to learn what love is
So you can just be a person to me
A stranger
I'm trying to get to your world
And I always lose my train of thought
I forget the directions and get lost
But I'm doing all of this just to get to you
Doesn't that mean something
Does it make you want to know who I am
Or do you think that I'm obsessed
I'm searching for your eyes
Begging for them to meet mine
Just so you could read my mind
If you could
You would see yourself
I'm trying to find you
But the fog is getting thicker
So let me wait it out
Like I always do
Hoping I can see you and me
Here I stand

The very scattered thoughts bring out the confusion and emotion. Bravo.
