The Scar

You might have given it a spot,
But it will always leave a scar.
You can smile more often,
But nobody can tell how far you really are..

How far you are, in the process of getting over it.
The laughter, the pain.
The moments you shared together.
How much strength have you really gained?

I'm wondering if it all will get any easier,
Or if it will just get harder.
I'm wondering if there is a new lover
To get me out of the blur.

Or will it all just vanish in time?
'Cause you see, they say.. "everything needs time."
Its just the moments of truth,
And it will all be sublime.

And never doubt the positive things,
They also always say,
And I shouldn't actually, I'll be alright
and the scar will go away!
