I Love You.

by ShyandHurt   Nov 22, 2008

A girl sits on her bed in a fury. It blazes over her skin, making it impossible to touch.

A man and woman stand across from her at the door, hard faces staring angrily.

"Fine."

Man and woman don't know how final those words are as they hide their smiles of triumph and leave the room.

The girl stands, her small frame shaking as tears and sobs wrack over her body.

"Fine."

She repeats the word again, so much finality in them.

Striding to her white dresser, she pulls open the top drawer and eases out a small knife, a sort of insane grin coming to her blue eyes.

Again she moves, shutting off the lights and opening the blinds that allow in the moon's light.

"Oh, so very fine."

She said with rage as the blade cuts over her skin, just missing a blue river.

A closed mouth scream erupted as she cut again, and again, making her arm a bloody tattered mess.

Though still, she misses each time, that blue river that would cut her breath.

"I don't see him, you don't see me."

She cried as her eyes went wide in pain and agony as the now red weapon cut deep, nearly hitting bone.

"Fine."

She whispered as she finally hit that river, blood flying over her face and down her neck.

"I love you, Jake."

Those were her last words as she sank to the floor, more and more red becoming visible.

Closing her eyes she crumpled to the carpet, lying in her own blood, letting it overtake her.

Her quick breaths soon turned to shallow gasps, her heart breaking.

After a couple more moments it was all over, there was an unnerving silence.

No more gasps, no more thudding heart, just a still room.

Man and woman walk in, they heard the thud.

Nothing happens.

No tears, no grief.

Just an annoyed sigh as they take care of her body.

They think her last word was "Fine." but he knows, oh he knows they were:

"I love you, Jake."
