Bottom of a Cup

by Curing the Comon Cliche   Nov 26, 2008

You left home for the shopping mall
The music echos through the hall
And wanders and crawls into my ear
Drinking vodka, scotch and beer
While empty eyes stare at the screen
Of another celebrity party scene
Wondering what the hell is wrong
With me, with love, with the stupid song
That I'm to heartbroken to turn off
And it drowns the silence so I can talk
This way nobody hears what I have to say
It's not like anyone listens these days
Another swig, how many is that
The room starts spinning, too much I guess
Well up goes down and down goes up
I'm finding these answers at the bottom of a cup
