Shiny Little Christmas Toy

by Beautiful Disaster   Nov 26, 2008

Your shiny little Christmas toy
Displayed for all to see
With her sparkling perfection
Shes exactly what you need

You know shes just the thing you want
The best toy to make you smile
Forget old games and merry-go-rounds
If only for a while

But summer comes and summer goes
Let go, breathe in freedom's purity
With all this new hours fun
Christmas toys begin to get dusty

When winter comes around again
Toss aside old Christmas dreams
To get your hands on something new
Another toy, but this one shimmers and gleams

Old playthings look out from the closet
Their glass hearts shattered on the floor
Glancing back you turn and laugh
Just break her a little more

Breanne....You're gonna start outwriting me pretty soon. -.-' lol. really, this one's really, really good. it's very visual and extremely metaphorical, which i adore.
