Didn't Get To Say Goodbye

She was rejected
By the only one she loved
She was trying to stay strong
But she was so starved of love

He made her think she was worthless
Like a broken porcelain doll
She hoped in the end she'd be fine
But she took the greatest fall

She stayed up night after night
Not really sure what to do
She gave up her life
For a few months with him and his crew

She was broken beyond fixing
Crushed like a mirror
Fallen into pieces
Her fate had become clearer

So when she got home
She broke everything in sight
It didn't matter anymore
She was giving up this fight

The next day
The boy heard the news
She had killed herself
Because she was tired of feeling used

Her mother came by
To give him a note
She had written it before she died
And sealed it in a baby blue envelope

She wrote:"I'm sorry I've annoyed you
Pushed you to the limit
I really didn't know
All I wanted was a future with you in it

I understand now
That it cannot be
Because I love you
But you could never love me"

He closed the letter
With tears in his eyes
He'd lost his best friend
And he didn't get to say goodbye
