Butterfly

by Emily   Nov 30, 2008

Little social butterfly,
Flitting her wings as she goes by,
Ever drawing admiration,
Never finding dedication,
Always in search of a new sensation,
Little social butterfly.

Little laughing butterfly,
Hiding the longing need to cry,
Wishing for someone to talk to,
Oh, if only she knew,
How much she needs something true,
Little laughing butterfly...

How hard it is to be on stage,
Have all her actions read like a page,
So, according to the latest fad,
Others decide whether she'll be good or bad,
Such is her life, so empty, so sad...
Little faithless butterfly.

Little hopeless butterfly,
I'll tell you of the One who did die,
To save you from your sins and fears,
Once with Him you won't mind your peers,
It is He that longs to keep you from tears,
Little hopeless butterfly...

You could be free,
You could be real,
Listen to this,
True love's appeal.

Wonderfull write Emily but if i may suggest, why don't you start your third stanza with , little faithless butterfly ?
I think the format should have been carried throughout, and your sec ond last stanza *did die* what about just plain *died* it flows better
Oter than that it was a beautifull poem and for some reason made me think of a ballerina?LOL
