Determined to rise

by tri tran   Dec 4, 2008

The baby eagle countervails gravity
That pulls him down onto sea,
Wings flapped frantically in an evening;
The baby eagle countervails gravity
To sip the crimson cloud that he loves.

Heart, a joyous drummer in a cocoon,
A long to taste sweet honey from heaven;
Soul, a tranquil ocean in mid autumn gloom,
Resting undisturbed before moon rise.
The baby eagle countervails gravity, a valiant hero.

Proud to be among the early rising stars,
The baby eagle countervails gravity,
Contracts and relaxes his wing muscles in endless motion
Until he floats freely on celestial sea
Without falling, falling and falling further...

The baby eagle countervails gravity
Like the cyan comets and indigo space rocks.
Shrieking in endless joy all evening long,
The baby eagle countervails gravity--
He yearns to sip that sweet, crimson cloud.
