A Distinction

Nothing will be like this in the real world.
Nothing will ever be this perfect,
For everything is imperfect.
Nothing will be this simple
Because everything is so complicated.
Nothing will be so enduring,
For good things don't always last.
Nothing will be so happy,
Because happiness is fleeting.
Nothing will be so easy to grasp,
For everything is imperceptible.
Nothing will be so peaceful,
Because we live in a world of war.
Nothing will be so quiet,
For in truth, even silence drowns us out.
Nothing will be
so sinless,
Because it is our nature to sin.
Nothing will be so carefree,
For it is also our nature to worry.
Nothing will be so relaxed,
Because the world runs on a tight schedule.
Nothing will be so sane,
For it is insanity that makes the world spin.
Nothing will be so complete,
Because a person is rarely ever complete, even in death.
Nothing will be so normal,
For what is normal but the standard for whatever type of person employs the word?
Nothing will be so expressive,
Because that which is worthy of expression cannot be expressed.
And nothing will be like this in the real world,
For there was first a distinction created by the word "real"
Because fantasy and reality were separated by that same word.
So no, nothing will be like this in the real world.
