Endless Suffering

by Kellie   Dec 18, 2008

Reflection in the mirror, edges growing grey,
Fading away slowly, diamond disarray.
No more than a shadow, that is staring back,
Yet shadows have no heart, feelings that they lack.
Slowly loosing spirit, to this untimely death,
Painless suicide, to emotions kept.
The lips have lost their colour, no longer pink but grey,
Pursed so close together, as their words go astray.
Her eyes are loosing depth, the windows to her soul,
Mysterious and broken, showing parts no longer whole.
The last tears have fallen, a stream of deep regret,
Believing tactless words, now trying to forget.
Her heart is beating slower; she can feel it coming near,
Calm takes through her body, distinguishing her fear.
Thoughts are now occurring, yet too late to turn around,
Panic rising quickly, but to her death she now is bound.
Memories rushing by, a film of her life story,
Thrown away for her lost love, leaving in her glory.
Pulse is disappearing, as the last crimson drops fall,
Her mind is searching back, a person she cannot recall.
She thought she knew who he was; his love had made her blind,
And in her dying days he was still running through her mind.
