I Figured You Out

by Jessica   Dec 18, 2008

I figured you out
And you are just like some of the rest
I never thought i would have categorized you
But you put me to the test
I sat and I pondered
On the way you carry certain situations
You are like a see saw
Your cyclic actions, is going to cause you to fall

You feed on girls who are going through something emotionally
You see that as a way for you to come in
To come in and show them that you are not like some men
You act as a confidant and a best friend
Sooner or later you want to be more than just her friend
The girl eventually gives in
You treat her like a queen
Helping her broken heart to mend
Somehow in the middle of the perfect story
Life throws a curve ball
You do not know how to take it
You constantly dwell in the past and live off ones faults
Giving you an excuse to give up
Give up on something you supposedly love
Give up on something you supposedly want to be in forever
Give up on something you supposedly never had
You use an excuse of your life is not right
To leave the one that you supposedly love
But what is not right is you are talking to someone else at night
When the one you supposedly love is beating herself up for you to see
That she is deeply in love with you.
You constantly say my decision was not based only on you
She can clearly see that because it is evident there is someone new.
Someone new who is going through something emotionally
You do not want to resolve the problems with your so called love
So you build another girl up
Because you see it as another way in
To show her that you are not just like some men
But in reality you are just like some men
You break the heart of one girl to build up another
Because you do not know how to deal with a situation
That you do not have full control in
You are running from a situation that wo not really ever end
You keep up with this cycle
And all your little relationships will always come to an end
Be careful of what you do to others
Because it is going to come back times ten
Your dirty cycle of relationships is going to make some female relationship cycles end
Since you build their sand castle
And knock it right back down again
But I want to thank you
Thank You for giving me another love lesson, yet again
A lesson of the way he treats his mother is the way he is going to treat you,
And not to deal with someone who does not know how to communicate
With that flaw none of your problems will end
And do not get into a relationship with someone with insecurities,
Because all they are going to do is blame you,
Blame you for them feeling a certain way
On this day I realized your love is not at all what you say
Your love is based only on you
You feeling like you have control and you not being done dirty again,

**So I am telling everyone else to really examine a person before you deal with them
Examine their relationship with both their parents, how they communicate, how they see themselves, and if they have any insecurities**

Amazing poem and yet so relevant at the same time. It was a very well written poem and I'm glad that you have put into words the lessons that you have learnt so that others can learn from them too. Well done. 5/5 from me.

P.S Thank you for the comment on my poem. :)
