Bedtime Story

by InvisiblyHeartless   Dec 20, 2008

Laying on her cushy bed
Her calming music plays
The affect more numbing
One ashamed little child, guilty
She replays her cheating crime
Surrendering to embarrassment
Two little lines parallel
In between scabs and scars
The simple sliced and broken skin
Cutting is her only vice
The blood trickle, sensational
Engulfing pain absorbed her
She knew those promises
Believing with all her might
They weren't meant pixie dust
When they find her struggle
The battle completely unwon
She's gonna need them most
