Self Known Lie

No madder what happened
You where always there
We where together for a long time
And seemed like the perfect pair

Yet now we cant talk
Or even seem to look
Since you broke up with me that one day
People have read me like a book

I keep saying that I'm over you
I keep telling myself a lie
But inside I know what the truth is
I know all I do is cry

I don't know why I cant get over you
Or why I even still care
I know you have said things about me
Things that I could hardly bare

Now that its all over
I would love for us to be friends
But you make that impossible
So I guess theres nothing to mend

    Just a note: I believe you meant “matter” instead “madder” and you probably meant “We were together” instead of “We where together”. Nicely done, enjoyed the read, keep on writing.
