Bloody Mirrors

by rebeccasarah   Dec 25, 2008

She stares back at those misty eyes
still wet from last nights tears.
she stares back at what could've been
before giving in to her greatest fears.
fears of commitment,
or rejection
fears of losing
her heart's connection.
shes not pretty.
no need to pretend.
she no longer can take
this pain with no end..
her misty eyes
then turn to her wrists.
leading to wards
her clenched fists.
contact is made
all images cracked.
glass falling to the floor
from where her hand had smacked.
the velvet red,
drips down her arm.
shattered glass,
shrieking in alarm.
sharp shards
are cutting in deep
no ones there
to here her weep.
her tear stained face
is carved in pain.
screaming in terror
shes going insane.
running from nothing
but her heart's broken pieces
when she hears footsteps behind her
her speed increases.
she'll end this tonight.
no more grief for her!
she reaches with her reddened arm
a bullet is shot, and the rest is a blur.
