Exist?

I think a thought
a thought to think so long as i live
yet if i die the thought is gone

the thought must no longer be a thought
the thought must be an idea
an idea must be reality

reality is real
if we think it is real
what we cannot see here smell or feel is not real
but what if it is

maybe it is real
it is real beyond what we are
to be real does not make it conscious

to exist they must know they exist
to think is to exist
than what is to not think

then it still exists to others
just not to their own self
so than what makes us exist?
