Forgiveness

by megan   Dec 31, 2008

Forgive my heart which didn't open
it hasn't been long since someone broke it
forgive the storm for its defenses
for its raindrops are like tears
for all its offenses
forgive the wind that didn't blow
for its heart too has a hole
forgive the sun that has stopped shining
the storms tears put it in hiding
forgive the moon for her cries
because her heart has begun to die
forgive the stars for their dimness
they need to clear their minds
to find forgiveness.

I loved this poem. It was very deep. Although I normally like rhyme, this was wonderful, your flow was very smooth. I also loved your personification, it made everything so real and so people could relate. Beautiful work dear.
