Hold On

by Brandon   Jan 2, 2009

This is the poem that will answer my other poem "Hold On, or Let Go," and the way i answered those questions is by talking about what happened in my life that answered them.

I cant hold on,
Its time to let go.
No one will know,
Theres no place to go.

I tried to stand,
But only to stumble.
All my joy is banned,
Leaving my heart to crumble

Tonight I may die.
But in my last mile,
I shall not cry,
Ill give them all a smile.

Content with my choice,
I say my goodbyes.
But I see her eyes,
With it, my plan dies.

This feeling.
Is this the answer,
The magic door,
Id searched for?

With a simple hug.
Every barrier, fear
And unshed tear,
Easily dissapear.

My frozen heart,
So readily softens.
She instantly enters in,
And all wounds mend.

All death wishes,
And thoughts of suicide,
No longer abide.

Should I hold on?
How can I let go now?

influenced by, and written for Sammy. (the dinosaur). Without her i would have died that night, and because of her i have a reason to hold on. Even when i was sure i wasnt gonna make it. when i was so ready to take my life. she was still able to break through.

~Thanks Samantha~
