Sleep Is Not What I Need

Throwing roses at walls
Till it makes me sane
Writing a poem
Digging my pen in my veins

Counting seconds on a clock
Without the second hand
Listening to the sad songs
Of another brokenhearted band

Screaming into pillows
Till my throat wants to bleed
You keep telling me it something
But sleep's not what I need
