Should i try

by Nelle Kirk   Jan 5, 2009

I lay in bed thinking about her
the taste and softness of her lips
i drift off into a deep sleep
not wanting to wake
because it is she who i speak
speak- in this poem that i write
but should i fight
fight- for this beauty that i have witness
do i have permission?
to try
or will i die trying.
i look into her eyes
and get lost in them
she see's me staring
am i daring...
no i am not, i can not speak
so again i ask myself should i try
or will i die trying
am i setting myself up to fail?
hmm only time will tell,
but is this all fun and games for her
i hope and pray that it's not a game,
because i cant help that i smile
when she is near
or when she is on my mind
but why do i feel that i am crossing a line.
sometimes i wish i couldn't feel
because i feel i will fail.
