Psalms of hell (third movement) "Demon"

by Marcus blake   Jan 8, 2009

For my sins and crimes
This purgatory is fate
And it's to late
For my redemption
My punishment has already begun
Agonizing screams
Vultures with wings
Pain like red blood dripping
My life is almost gone
Where'd I go wrong?
Did I ever want to be right?
My eyes are blood red
And black wings now inhabit my back
My soul is being devoured
My pain is fading away
"A demon is what I became"

I like the ending line. Just a note. The titles of these? To me at least, they sound extremely pretentious, no offence.

Also 'inhabit my back'. What? I suggest changing that.

Anyway, on a nice note, I do like the imagery, and the mention of vultures. (even if 'with wings' is kind of stating the obvious, on second thought, maybe... describe those wings?) But yes, good imagery. Nice portrayl of becoming a demon, I find, vivid and rich.

    So, well done - Schem.
