The Ghost Of You

There is a story I want to tell
Some may find it scary as hell
Some may not believe it's true
But I am not saying things untrue

I always stay late at night
Sometimes until the morning light
And I've never been afraid of the dark
But the latest events left me marked

When I stay up late on the computer
Listening music on my headphone speakers
I hear slow footsteps behind me walking
Like there's a ghost that's stalking

I know it sounds crazy
But, it's true, believe me
When I turn around to see
There's a shadow in the dark moving away from me

And I've never believed in ghosts
Never been afraid of the bogeyman or some Bloody Marys
But, they say when the ghosts have some unfinished business
They remain right there, where the person lives

One day I decided
Before I went to bed
To don't be afraid
And I left a paper and a pen

I wrote on the note,
For some answer I hoped
"What do you want from me?
Please just don't hurt me"

The next day I woke up
Saw the note that said
"I just want to see you, darling
No need to be afraid of hurting"

Then I remembered my Grandfather
And I realized he was the ghost stalker
He had died just recently
He said goodbye to everyone, but me.

The note continued with these words
"I never meant to scare you dear
I didn't think you would feel fear
I just wanted too see you my dear."

I didn't know should I cry or be happy
Even in his grave my Granddad didn't forget me
So, I left the note that said
"I'm sorry the things didn't turn out as we meant."

I told my family what happened
But, none of them believed
I wanted some advice from them
But, I didn't seem to get one

That's why I tell this story
I want someone to tell me what to do
If you can tell me, just hurry,
Because the haunting continues
And the note I leave says the same things
"I just want to see you''
