Been a year or two when I lost my faith,
Now I got it back, another chance came my way.
How lucky I was, but back then I didn't realize,
God was watching me,
Holding me even when I vandalized.
I rejected his love, "no" I said,
Now I wonder why I stayed away,
Those days I needed love the most,
So why, I ask, why did I just leave and go?
I'm sorry God for rejecting what you were giving me,
For not being thankful when I should be.
I'm sorry for asking and asking without a word of thanks,
For not believing in you when you showed me the way,
So now I thank you, try to make up,
For the wrongs that I've done, trying to do what's right.
I thank you Lord for giving me a chance,
Being there when I needed a hand,
Never again will I stray away,
Forever I will stay and pray.
