Waking up, reaching for you

~Random writing as it flows from my mind, feeling a bit artistic, not really a poem, just thoughts, tell me what you think~

Waking up, reaching for you, just to remember how you left me that night. You were layed down next to me, one arm over me, our hands intwinded, a gental kiss on the head. A position I never expected to be in, but a position I welcomed indeed. Who would I be to turn you away? I thought of this situation and my feelings for you. I thought of our past and how things have changed. The moment, I wished, would have lasted longer. As I layed there wrapped in the moment, wrapped in your arms, I let time go by without a second glance. I listened to your steady heartbeat, your soft breathing. I turned and watched you, not knowing that you were still slightly awake until my eyes met yours and I felt a kiss on my cheek. I soaked up the moment for longer then what it was truely worth, but how safe and secure I felt. I nuzzled a little closer to you, feeling your warmth and your gental touch. The minutes seemed like seconds, like time had been frozen just for us. A soft little beeping came from the side of the room. An alarm, a notice, that ment we must move on. We stood for a moment then walked to the car. The cold, chilled wind circled around us. The dry fall leaves rustled across the ground. We embraced in a warm hug and you whispered to me "Even if it means nothing..." then your lips gently brushed acrossed mine, and I knew, in this moment, that this might change our time. Things could get better or could get worse, but for the time being, everything was fine. We said our goodbyes and I walked back inside. I curled up in the spot that we were just in and slowly drifted off. Thats when I was waking up, reaching for you....
