Alone and cold, I'm drowning
Drowning in this sea
Full of anger and hatred
Against no one else but me

Can't stand to look at my reflection
Disappointment is what I'll see
Nothing but resentment
For the person staring back at me

I try so hard to make it right
And what do I get in return
Nothing but experience
You'd think by now I'd learn

All I want is happiness
I'm not looking for perfection
Just a smile every so often
Send some love my direction. . .
