Let It Soak You Through

Moonlight Sonata- Beethoven

Composition and creativity
Piano chords and minor key
Depressing and triumphant
While violin plays harmony

Wordlessness rolls off my tongue
You can smell it in the air
Like sulfur or cheap perfume
Feels like nothing, nothing's there

Piano carves out another stanza
Black and white keys are true to life
The problem with simplistic poetry
Is there is always something beyond your eyes

It's like laying on a beach
Watching the white waves crash on you
Let the music soak your clothes
Let it break and wash over blue

Broken chords and minor keys
Things aren't always up to blame
No matter how pure the poem seems
They all burn just the same
