The wave breaks like some fine liquor bottle
I look how I feel and now I know I feel awful
I feel like a kid who fell out of a tree
The worst part of it all, you don't come to help me

I want to feel like a bird riding a cushion of air
I want to close my eyes and know someone is there
I want to hold hands with jesus and skip rocks on a lake
I want to close my eyes and sleep at the end of the day

So many I wants it's like you can't really think
At least I'm not so selfish that I'd pour myself in the sink
I just want to fly like a bird in the air
I want to open my eyes, I want to see you there
