And so she slept..

by xX the left behind Xx   Jan 22, 2009

The shivers down my spine do not let up.
The moon's glimmer floods my bedroom floor.
My trembling hands i hold close to my chest.
Your picture litters the ground.
So does the shattered glass of what was once a frame.
Crimson drips from numb fingers and mangled wrists.
Tears stain flushed cheeks.
Memories and what-could-have-been's run through my mind's eye.
I form a silent scream with dead lips.
And as i cross the boundaries of sleep tonight,
i shall never return.

Great poem. Good job. I know a lot of girls who feel that way but it's not the way to fix things. I like how you made it flow. Good job.
