My life is an open book

by myrissa   Jan 23, 2009

Opening the pages to my story
I rifle through the chapters of my life
Seeking the fun and the trouble times
Parting a chapter with a bookmark
My eyes skim over the lines
I read about crying hearts , broken promises
Turning the page I read more
Ruined friendship, New friends
7th grade love, a girls broken heart
Words demanding , ears never hearing
Marking the page I flip forward
A mothers sin, the Childs fault
A mothers tears, the Childs suffering
Turning the page I read the next chapter
Hurricane of grief and loss
Life’s ripped apart
I tear up reading that chapter
And read on
Deprived by a demon
Saved by an angel
A new light a new home
I thought you an enemy
Who has taken my life away
But in the end you helped me grow
Helped me change into a better person
Closing my book, I smile
I wonder how the rest of the story will
