Cold Black Water

by Curing the Comon Cliche   Jan 26, 2009

The way that it moves
The ceiling I mean
Flutters and dances
Like a bird on the wind

But this bird goes nowhere
And neither do I
So we're left to wonder
Just how we die

If a stopped heart won't do it
And it certainly won't
Then what's to stop all of us
From jumping the boat

The cold black water
That reflects our happy side
Now looks more enticing then ever
So I'll just say goodbye

I always comment them. Just so you know. And will continue to do so until you don't want it anymore.

    Flutters and dances
Like a bird on the wind

^^ I'm sure lots of people can relate. Actually, that's doubtful. but theyll think they can. I really like the last two lines. pretty simile. always are.

    But this bird goes nowhere
    And neither do I

^^ Funny how you can lay there devastated for hours or minutes, and it all just feels the same. Not funny, really. Just..idk.

    So we're left to wonder
    Just how we die

^^ I know how we die. It's really interesting, being dead. You can just throw it all away because you don't have a heart left to beat. yay.

If a stopped heart won't do it
    And it certainly won't
Then what's to stop all of us
    From jumping the boat

^^ last night's memorable "gabby don't die" metaphor was about a boat. it's interesting. tay was talking about how you can't patch a boat together with wet duct tape. and it's silly to try. idk. breanne said something about a boat too. But i'd told her once you drown you don't need to think about aquatic vehicles anymore.

    That reflects our happy side
Now looks more enticing then ever

^^ I don't have anything for this one beyond, it's well written. congrats.
