I can't believe what I see
I can't believe what happened in front of me
To see a life come and gone
In the middle of his dawn
My friend, now lies here
I know that he is near
Whether dead or alive
His memory will survive
The crash may take his life
Like a thief in the darkest night
My soul may be crushed
A scream quickly hushed
But I believe
That my eyes cannot concieve
That he still lives
He still lives

Believe me..I hate to downvote poems..
So I'll just add my comment here and what I think of it.
    This poem deserved 2/5
Let me tell you why ::

Usually..if you really want to write a short poem..try to focus on it's meaning, not the rhyme.
give a shot to your wording..I want you to read this poem over and over again, try to compare it to other top-rated poems here..yes you do that..you can be just as good as they are.
So..the meaning of the poem didn't get to me..your wording needed more work, you kinda forced the rhyme which lessened the concept of the poem.

We're all beginners after all..so I just need you to take that advice from me =))
