A random act of kindness kept me going today
just when I start to think its all stacked against me
something sweet brightened my day
It's just nice to know someone cares
even if they barely know me
they want to shine a little kindness my way
This opens my mind to theories
I start to notice, kindness is everywhere
everyone has kindness in them
and it is there unless they kill it
but only few can totally kill it,
for it is a horrible fate to have no heart at all
though many people may appear unkind
they are just hiding it, but they can't always
it will shine through when no one expects it
it will not be held down forever
And those who spread their kindness
and wear it proudly as a pendant
shining its light on everyone around
like a beacon, keeping us going
Kindness is just a reminder that god is always here
for he gave everyone kindness, for them to share
