Is It Just a Routine?

As I sit here and think to myself "Why?"
Why do I even continue to try?

I think for some people, church has become a routine.
Even for myself, do we go to learn, or to be seen?

It's sad when people just get in the habit of going,
like a bunch of robots without even knowing.

The LORD deserves more than just our time,
and we don't even give him that, it's a crime.

He should always come first no matter what.
And yet we push him aside, and close the door shut.

Why do we treat out LORD so very bad?
I don't know, but it's truly sad.

Ask yourself why you truly go,
do you go to really learn? Yes or no?

Judge yourself and nobody else will.
Is your heart opened to be filled?

Filled with the holy spirit himself,
don't toss him on a dusty shelf.

Don't just go to church because it's a routine,
and seriously, don't go to merely be seen.

Go to serve the one who died.
To save the souls of you and I.
Remember, he's on your side.
