Comprehend It

by Brittany   Jan 29, 2009

So we create a bubble around us
So no one can break in
But they can destroy, rip and tear us
With just a tiny pin
Feeling bad?
Drink it up
Are you mad?
Go smoke it up

Stop digging yourself into a hole
Put the shovel down and climb out
Dust yourself off
Just start to walk
Look out for the little pot holes

Don't you cry
No
These tears they do you no good
They slide down your face
They leave a trace
In a tear, everyone can see your dismay

Open your eyes
And see what is wrong
Don't be a coward and not face it
Take a deep breathe
Get started along
Find the strength, you might of just misplaced it

Don't leave this world
No, not just yet
I know that your are not done

So laugh like you are insane
Smile like you've won the lottery
Dance like no one is watching
And sing like no one is listening

This is a great spin off the overly cliche quote. I like how the stanzas are structured in what seems to be a conversational style yet still has the perfect rhythm. You are showing great potential. Well done.
