Left Out

by Stumbling Shaman   Jan 31, 2009

No way back from here
And you are frozen
Believe me, I know what you face
As I watch you pretend
That you don't know what to do

Your endless search for someone to embrace
Hardly made it out the front door
Postulations and theories spin out of your mind-
But do you remember what it was for?

Too strong too proud too sure of your right
And it's true
You were right, they were wrong
But who's there to hold through the night-
To turn your empty words into song?

Too solid too certain too many broken hearts
My only advice to you my friend
Is you'd best be making a start
Because you've just found the means
To yet another end

So perfectly written. It holds great insight and depth, but is so understanding and easy to read. It just rolls right off the tongue and that...is a gift. Well done, Matt.
