Advice

by shrey maheshwari   Feb 2, 2009

I still remember the days,
when he used to find new ways,
to teach me this and make sure,
that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

once again i am sorry dad,
even after 5 years i do feel sad,
i still remember when said goodbye,
and i still ask myself,why?

but now i think i know the reason,
that, why i lost you that spring season,
i wish i would have acted wiser before,
i wish i would have followed your advice more

that fire which burnt you alive,
i know that you could have survived,
only if i would have understand it for sure,
that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

now nothing more is left for me to say,
as i am still full of despair and dismay,
i wish i would have acted wiser before,
i wish i would have followed your advice more

Dear daddy i miss you a lot,
these are the only words that i have got,
these are the words full of despair and dismay,
i don't have anything more to say.

once again i am sorry dad,
as long as i live i feel sad,
i still remember when i told you goodbye,
and worse is that i now know the reason , why?
