When I think...

by Ash   Feb 6, 2009

When I think I used all my chances,
Every chance to make things right.
Single steps were merely playful dances,
Same old mistakes day and night.

Days gone by felt like a mistake,
From this darkened dream when would I wake?
Every step moved me so far away,
How I wish together we could forever stay.

But baby why can't you see,
With every hurtful wound you came closer to me?
And every conversation seems like an intoxicating dream,
Soft, sweet and yet flowing through love's stream.

For you I'd catch every color of the rainbow,
Upon your feet the seeds of happiness, love and care I'd sow.
To bloom with utmost devotion till endless days,
Like heaven on earth in every way.

For you I'd build countless monuments all in your name,
In honor of your love on angelic wings that came.
A simple display that distance binds hearts so tight,
But shining with such luster and beauty in the moonlight.

You are my life, my sole reason for existence....
You are my smiles, even over the great distance...
You are each heart beat, a singing melody in the heart,
You are the essence of life from which ingenuity does start.
