An Explanation From Her

by ImperfectBliss   Feb 6, 2009

In the space of a moment I sigh
And look in to the silvery Moon
Which floats endlessly above me
Watching over Her many children

I often wander where She comes from
And why She bothers to love us
When we do so many horrible things to Her
When we are killing Her so slowly, so torturously

I sob in reminder of the things of the past
And I scream and shout at Her, asking Her why She loves us
I want Her to be mad, I want Her to be cruel
But instead She smiles, sighs, and kisses the cheek of the world

She giggles at my anger, and wraps me in Her silver arms
And holds me until my tears have run out, and I am left dry
Only then does She whisper to me Her secrets
And gives me the answers I seek

But even after She explains, I am still filled with confusion
And I cry again, asking Her to make me see
But again She giggles, and whispers to me,

"If you cannot find the answer within yourself,
Then you will never find it without."
