Neon Moon (sonnet)

by Ashes of a Black Rose aka Night Child   Feb 6, 2009

Underneath a shining blue neon moon,
That glistened next to diamonds shaped like stars,
We caught ourselves as in sync did we swoon,
And all of the glory of that night was ours.

If ever a heart i could love, be it yours,
Oh deep, gentle heart, your words do amaze,
They glide o'er my body like tides on shores,
Sending sensations like madly a craze.

The neon moon reminds me of your eyes,
Enchanting, blue, leaking authority,
Mysterious as ever the night skies,
They hold me tightly in captivity.

If e'er a heart you recieve, be it mine,
If e'er a heart you could give, be it thine.
