Of Benches and Ships

by Tabzitha   Feb 9, 2009

On a bench in the trees,
He was there watching me,
And I was watching back.
As my memory fades,
Into the summer's shades,
I see how much I now lack.

I don't know if i'll see him again,
If its worth it to feel this again.

And so I lie down,
Beneath the blue, blue sky,
And let the shades fall over me.

On a ship by the sea,
He was there watching me,
And I was waving back.
As the waves rolled away,
I knew everyday,
Would be cold, blue and black.

I don't think I can see him again,
If its worth it to feel this again.

And so I sink down
Beneath the deep, blue sea
And let the waves wash over me

And so I fall down,
Beneath all i thought i knew,
And let my pain consume me.
