I Hold My Tongue

by Zach Buenger   Feb 10, 2009

I hold my tongue so I can truly listen,
I hold my tongue so I can truly understand,
Only in complete silence may you hear their secrets.
There is truth riding along the wind,

There are murmers of forgotten history,
Waiting to be born again.
There are whispers of prophecy,
Waiting to become roars.

All this rests along the breath of wind,
Imagine what rests along the breath of Him.

He calls out to all those that question,
He calls out to all those that live in fear,
He calls out to all those in self pity,
He calls out so that all may hear.

We do not hear because we do not listen,
We do not listen because of fear.
There are messages all around us,
But it is up to us, to truly hear.
