Seagulls, Butterflies and Rain

by Still Slightly Broken   Feb 14, 2009

Have you ever journeyed to the beach
And sat high atop the jet black rocks, randomly scattered along the sand
Silently watching as the seagulls soar above the water
Whilst listening to the waves roll up and crash upon the land.

Or layed in the middle of a daisy field in September
And marveled as you watch a butterflies erratic flight
As it travels through its day so carelessly
Never knowing that its beauty was one of the loveliest in sight.

Have you ever listened to the pitter-patter of rain falling
And watched as the crystal drops shatter like diamonds as they land
Thinking about all that has happened during your life
And laughed at all those stupid people who think they understand.
