Emptiness

You are a bird
Flying away from me
Everyday
Flying further and further away
Once you build your nest on me
For I am a tree
And I felt your wings
Rest in the crevices of my arms
Stretched out towards the sky
Once I gave you warmth
A place to sing
But no more, not me
You, even with your broken wings
Still found a way to fly away from me
