Whiskey Cries And Lullaby's

by Amber   Feb 18, 2009

Another bottle on the table,
A tear streams down her cheek,
Another broken hearted girl,
Who's soul is turning weak,

She turns on the music,
Grabs the bottle from the fridge,
Suicidal thoughts begin,
Drive drunk right over the bridge,

She begins to cry,
She tips the bottle takes a shot,
Cries out loud,
How she misses you a lot,

She wishes you could hear her,
The room begins to spin,
She staggers to the fridge,
And reaches for the gin,

A shot for the lies
Two for my tears
Three for broken promises,
Four for wasted years,

She chugs back the bottle,
And goes for more,
But she find herself standing,
At her kitchen door,

She walked out the door,
Not a star in the sky,
She got in the car,
As she took a shot of rye,

She drove into town,
As she thought about you,
Her vision was blurry,
And she was dizzy too,

Ahead the train lights flashed,
Her head rested on the wheel,
She raised her head for a second,
When it hit the automobile,

In the wreck they found a note,
Of a girl who lost her all,
One who lost her heart and soul,
One heaven had to call,

Whiskey cries and lullaby's,
All throughout the night,
I drank some gin to commit a sin,
That brought me to the light,

Another soul within the night,
A gravestone added to the rest,
Another broken hearted girl,
Who's life did take the test.
